Sôgmô adopts new coat of arms, flag

The Honourable Sôgmô Gaius Soergel Publicola has adopted a new coat of arms and a new personal standard, replacing the coat of arms and flag from 2013 and 2015 respectively. The new royal emblems reflect Sandum heraldric norms and also unify the Sôgmô’s visual presence since the royal standard and sagamorial coat of arms are now the same design.

The new design is largely a continuation of the previous royal symbols in Sandus they are now considered to be a combination of one another. Both now feature a blue field with a white chevron, found on the former escutcheon, and a red chief that is derived from the former standard where the sagamorial coat of arms was a badge. To conform to wider heraldic rules, the chief’s red and the field’s blue are now divided by a white fimbriation.

The new symbols will now begin to be used immediately to represent the Sôgmô at home and abroad.
