Under the Office of the Sôgmô is a system of centrally-located ministries and bureaux that serve important governmental functions on behalf of the Sôgmô and report directly to það.
The ministry system was first conceived of in June 2013 when the Bureau of the Treasury was first being planned, and it was decided then that ministries should only be formed if there was a pressing need and ability among Sandum citizens to have organs that served an important and constructive purpose.
The Ministry of Diplomatic Affairs was established on 18 August 2016 as a result of the Council’s ratification of the Sôgmô’s Philia Plan for the Major Societal Shift. The ministry is responsible for Sandus’s diplomatic affairs and foreign relations and has several accredited chargés d’affaires as diplomats. Artemis Baca is the Minister of Diplomatic Affairs, who reports directly to the Sôgmô on international events and bilateral relations.
The Ministry of Human and Environmental Health was established on 6 August 2019 in response to Sandum citizens’ ecological and health concerns. The ministry is responsible for developing Sandum policy in response to the health of Sandum citizens and their environment, as well as informing citizens about health concerns. Doctor Jacob Barnet Pharmacologus Σαρκαστικός is the Minister of Human and Environmental Health and reports to the Sôgmô directly on health and ecological concerns.
The Bureau of the Treasury is the first organ to be constructed under the Office of the Sôgmô on 2 July 2013. The bureau is responsible both for Sandus’s monetary policy and also oversees CivBanca — the State Bank of the State of Sandus. Its director is Adam Camillus von Friedeck, who is also the Secretary of the Citizens’ Party of Sandus.
