CIV000 – Sandus in Practice has been completed and added to the list of available courses at Kremlum Sandus State College. The Sôgmô, who is both the rector and the instructor of courses at KSSC, began work early III C Quintilo (Thursday 3 July) on the video lectures and course website for CIV000. The course is intended to teach students pursuing a Civilo certificate (which enables peregrae to become civilae) about ways to communicate with fellow citizens. The course focuses on media in Sandus, including: the traditional media of Veritum Sandus and Channum Unum, the “new media” of Voice of Sandus and Sacerdotium, the Sandus.org website, and interpersonal means of communication such as Skype or email. The course concludes with a split lecture based on the sort of certificate being pursued; for socilivae the course concludes with a lecture on the role of diplomacy in Sandus’s interactions with its socilivançae, for civilae the lecture concludes with a lecture on the future of Sandum communication.
The course was completed in record time, a mere two days. The next courses to be completed are all one-credit courses: CIV010 – Sandus in the Micronational World; CIV020 – Language in Sandus; CIV030 – the Arts & Sandus. In the future, peregrae will have a broad selection of courses that may fit into their 12-credit Civilo certificate, which enables them to become full-citizens in Sandus. After the Civilo certificate program is completed, Sandus is looking forward to increasing the academic diversity of KSSC by including lectures of a variety of topics from micronationalists and to include other certificate programs.
