Icelandic Flag inducted onto le Mur des Drapeaux

Ave, Sandum Citizens!

Le Mur des Drapeaux, or "the Wall of the Flags", includes the flags of (L-R) Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, Tibet, recently-added Iceland, France, and Québec. The LGBTQ Pride and Maryland flags have been removed by the Sôgmô and currently hang in the Sôgmô's residence on the University of Maryland campus.

Having been a part of the Office of the Sôgmô since early Sandum history and long having been a national landmark, le Mur des Drapeaux (French: “the Wall of the Flags”) is a tribute to the states which guide the Sandum Nation-State in political, social, and cultural realms. The Sôgmô has recently inducted the flag of Iceland onto the Wall beside the flag of Tibet, a space formerly held by the LGBTQ Pride and Maryland flags.

The induction of the Icelandic flag comes after the Sôgmô’s June 2013 trip to France and Iceland, and his report to the State on the similarities between Icelandic and Sandum anti-commercialism and agrarianism. The Sôgmô’s report, from June 2013 (Iunio MMXIII), can be found here.
