The Office of the Sôgmô is preparing for the establishment and promulgation of Sandus’s first college, the first place for education in Sandus.

Kremlum Sandus State College will have courses that, in the future, will be required for Civilae citizens and optional for Socilivae citizens. For Civilae, certain courses will be required to be passed in order to achieve Sandum citizenship. A degree or certificate will be available for graduates, and graduates may receive a graduation medal in the colours of the future State College: white and gold. The State College will also assume responsibility and custodianship of the Kremlum Sandus State Press, an organ currently of the government intended to publish public service announcements and public educational material.

The college will be free and easy, and is expected to have a reduced hassle for those desiring Sandum citizenship while teaching important aspects of the Sandum Philosophy, the Sandum Government, and our history as a sovereign state. The first course to be available will be CIV100 – “Civic Engagement for Civilae Citizens”. In the future, other subjects – including lectures on topics not involving Sandus – may be included. Certain classes at the moment include a course on the History of Sandus, Sandum Philosophy and Culture, Micronational history and Micropatriology, and an introduction to RealismLibera, and Philia.

Many micronations possess state-run colleges or universities. However, Sandus has long withstood the fervour of those micronations and the State College differs tremendously from other micronational universities on scope and on purpose. Most other micronational universities are intended to be large-scale projects and are intended to teach on a variety of topics; Sandus’s future State College, however, will merely educate peregrae and other citizens on Sandum citizenship. Furthermore, the State College will likely have educational prospects for Sandum citizens and non-citizens alike, but will only be run when there are students available or when an educational project has been established. The State College will likely work with the Collegio Sacerdae and the Party in the future for intersectional educational lessons and courses on Socialism and the self-created or Sancta culture of the Sandum Nation-State.

The State College is expected to be promulgated on XII, XVI, ou XVII Ianuario (12, 16, or 17 January), Sancta holidays to the Lares Compitales, Harmonia, and Felicitas. A warrant from the Office of the Sôgmô shall promulgate the State College and work has already begun on a syllabus for the CIV100 course and other courses will be planned for in the future. So as to fit into the State of Sandus’s requirement for a one-month “residency” or peregra period before applicants become Civilae citizens, the State College will have one-month long programs. The Office of the Sôgmô is still considering how many credits will award a degree and what sort of electives and required courses the College will offer. Courses are expected to last no more than a fortnight, and electives are expected to last only a week.
