Ave, Sandum Citizens!

The first edition of the bilingual journal of the Tellus Agrarian Cooperative, the Tellus Sibyl, has been published. Written in both of the major official languages of the State of Sandus, English and French, the first edition focuses on announcing the creation of the Tellus Agrarian Cooperative over the Summer and reports on events since then. Made by and for workers of the Cooperative, the irregularly released journal is geared towards citizens who follow news from the Cooperative. The journal derives its name from the Latin word sibylla, which refers to the ancient oracles of gods and goddesses, and evokes a spirit of meditatively guiding Tellus’s success — especially towards the 2015 Economic Goal and the “All-Citizens United” Plan. The journal is available in only the bilingual edition and is one of the major objectives of the Office of the Sôgmô’s recent pro-bilingualism policy.

Tellus is Founded 29 June – Tellus est créée le 29 juin :

Established as a cooperative to pursue the 2015 Economic Goal and the All-Citizens United plan, the Tellus Agrarian Cooperative commenced by a 29 June 2013 royal order, a form of letters patent in Sandus which establish “royal” cooperatives. In the letters patent, the Sôgmô recalled the cultural ideal of Anticosti as an agrarian homeland and retold the story of the Neolithic to guide the Sandum cooperative towards economic independence. The Cooperative is tasked with guiding Sandum production towards the 2015 Economic Goal, which is to form the basis of an economy by then, and alleviate Sandum dependence on foreign states by food production and by the All-Citizens United plan, meant to establish a Sandum welfare system. Those older than 16 may join Tellus and all citizens are recommended to do so, in order to benefit the people and to bring the alliance of the Sandum People on a more personal level. The Cooperative strives for worker’s democracy and shall be organised by work-groups; however, until a time when the cooperative is prepared for self-government, the Office of the Sôgmô shall manage the Cooperative and shall continue to guide it after its separation from the Office.

Établie comme une coopérative poursuivant l’objectif économique 2015 et le projet Tout-Citoyens Unis, la coopérative agrarienne de Tellus a commencé le 29 juin 2013 par ordonnance royale, une sorte de lettres patentes dans Sandus qui établir coopératives « royales ». Dans les lettres patentes, le Sôgmô a rappelé l’idéale culturelle d’Anticosti comme patrie agrarien, et il a rappelé l’histoire du Néolithique pour guider la coopérative sande à l’indépendance économique. La Coopérative est chargée de guider la production sande vers l’objectif économique 2015 – qui formera la base d’une économie – et à atténuer la dépendance sande sur états étrangers par la production de nourriture et par le projet Tout-Citoyens Unis – destiné d’établir un système aide sociale sande. Ceux qui a 16 ans peuvent se joindre à Tellus, et ils sont invités de se rejoindre par le gouvernement pour l’avantage du peuple et pour obtenir l’alliance personnelle du peuple sande. La Coopérative espère pour la démocratie ouvrière et elle sera organisé par groupes de travail ; néanmoins, jusqu’au moment où la coopérative est préparée pour l’autonomie, l’Office du Sôgmô gérera la Coopérative et l’Office continuera de la guider après sa séparation.

Tellus’s first season – Première saison de Tellus :

Tellus began its first season on 13 July 2013 with radishes. Expected to be harvested by 10 August, the first crop for the Cooperative eventually failed for unknown reasons.
The next season for Tellus would have begun next spring but will be postponed pending new accords.

Tellus a commencé sa première saison le 13 juillet 2013 avec les radis. Nous les récolterions par le 10 août, mais la première récolte de la Coopérative a échoué pour des raisons inconnues.
La prochaine saison de Tellus aurait commencé le printemps prochain, mais elle sera retardée pour nouvelles accords.

Wyvernian King derides Tellus – Roi wyvernien raille Tellus :

After the failure of Tellus’s first season, the Central People’s Government was honest with the Sandum People and announced the failure publicly. Some foreign advice was given. However, in a bit of immaturity, the Wyvernian King risked another diplomatic fight by jocularly calling the failure “the Tellus Famine of 2013” in the historical heritage of famines. The King’s misplaced comments were an area of discontent for a nation which entered a mourning period in late August. Forced by law to defend the King’s undiplomatic comments, the Wyvernian premier wrongly considered the King’s comments to be private comments, despite making those comments under his title of office.
Tellus workers remain faithful to their work and mandate, commanding the progress of the State!

Après l’échec de la première récolte de Tellus, le gouvernement central du peuple a été honnête avec le People Sande et le gouvernement a annoncé publiquement l’échec. Quelques conseils étrangers a été envoyé. Cependant, avec un peu d’immaturité, le roi wyvernien a risqué une autre bataille diplomatique par appelant l’échec avec blague « la famine Tellus de 2013 » dans l’héritage historique de famines. Les pauvres paroles de roi ont été égarées pour une nation en deuil à la fin d’août. Chargé par loi pour défendre les commentaires peu diplomatiques du roi, le premier wyvernien a considéré à tort les commentaires du roi comme des commentaires privés, malgré avoir les rendu sous son titre officiel.
Les ouvriers restent fidèles à leur travail et à leur mandat, commandant le progrès de l’État !

Production for Spring halted – Production de printemps arrêté :

Production for spring has been halted as a result of the Sôgmô leaving le Palaso d’Etato. Production will not begin until a replacement of land available for planting is available. The Office of the Sôgmô is currently looking into other possibilities of production for the Cooperative until a time comes when production can be resumed; some ideas include gardening foodstuffs which do not need light and contacting the Sôgmô’s university or his contacts in the area to make necessary arrangements.

La production pour le printemps a été arrêté à la suite du Sôgmô avoir quitté le Palaso d’Etato. La production ne commencera pas jusqu’à un remplacement de terres disponibles pour la plantation est prêt. L’Office du Sôgmô cherche pour autres possibilités de production pour la Coopérative jusqu’au moment où la production peut repris ; quelques idées sont le jardinage d’alimentaires qui n’ont pas besoin de lumière et un accord entre l’université de Sôgmô ou ses contacts dans la zone et le gouvernement pour l’utilisation de terre pour le jardinage de la Coopérative.

Office considers Tellus logo – L’Office considère le logo Tellus :

The Office of the Sôgmô is considering a new logo for the Cooperative which reflects the principles of Tellus and its benefit for the People and State. Possible images include the goddess Tellus or Anticosti.

L’Office du Sôgmô considère un nouveau logo pour la Coopérative qui réfléchit les principes de Tellus et sa bénéfice pour le Peuple et l’État. Images possibles inclurent la déesse Tellus ou l’île Anticosti.
