Ave, Sandum Citizens!
This article is a compilation of various projects and events the Office of the Sôgmô is preparing for in the later half of this month, before the Sôgmô leaves for university.
The Office of the Sôgmô has provided the XXVII Sextilo (27 August) deadline for completing an essay on Lycurgan Sparta and its relationship to the State of Sandus. This essay will compare and contrast the two on various elements of Lycurgus’s reforms to Sparta, which made it into the city-state we know of today. The Sôgmô will contest some broad Western misconceptions about the Spartan system and will use the Spartan example as a means to further define Sandus’s system and nation-state to others. For this, the Sôgmô has used Plutarch’s Life of Lycurgus.
Compelled to create a presentation to further show how Sandus is peaceful after a New Israeli article deriding Sandum aggression and an argument with the Prime Minister of Wyvern, the Sôgmô is in the process of creating a PowerPoint presentation under the piquant name «Is Sandus Aggressive?» This presentation will use the Founding Law, Libera, and Sandus’s non-interventionism to explain why Sandus is not aggressive to other states.
This Gregorian week, on XXI ad XXII Sextilo (21 – 22 August), the Sôgmô shall travel to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to attend to Sandum royal family affairs. The Sôgmô may likely visit with Prince Ryuho, former prince of Tatsumiya and current prince of Kumano, in order to discuss Socilivo states and the Kumanoese application to become a Socilivo state.
The Sôgmô and the entirety of the Sandum royal family may be on leave for the remainder of the month, before the Sôgmô moves into his dorm at the University of Maryland.
