Autumn Solstice of Philia

Ave, Sandum Citizens!

Each Solstice and Equinox, for the past year, has marked an administrative period in which the State sets out policies, collects taxes, and conducts the census. This practice began a year ago and today marks both the implementation of the Equinoxes and the Solstices as special administrative days as well as the first awarding of the Most Honourable Order of the Throne of Sandus. In the past year, the following people have been awarded the MHOTS: Robert Lethler, Jacob Tierney, Alexander Reinhardt, André Sammut, and Jonathan Austen were all granted the positions of Members of the Order; in the Summer Solstice, Jacob Tierney was promoted to the position of Commander. As is customary for the solstices and equinoxes, we would like to award former Sandum Citizen and Comrade James Thompson to the position of Member of the Order of the Throne of Sandus.

Today has also been important for the census. Although taxes were excused for the past season, the Office of the Sôgmô dedicated itself to making up the lost amount. As of this Solstice, the Office has made 6,000 grains of rice extra; 2,000 more will be made by the end of the Gregorian weekend to finish the make up. Though taxes are still expected for the Winter Solstice, the State will work towards fulfilling those obligations.

This past Summer has seen the State’s attendance at the PoliNations Summit, its first LGBTQ Pride Week, and a month dedicated entirely to the Sandum culture. This upcoming season of Autumn will see the State performing further State building, with a focus on culture under the Philia Policy of the Citizens’ Communist Party. At the Party Congress in November, the Sôgmô will present to the Party the oaths and obligations of Sandum Citizens, as well as the internal and underlying basis of the Sandum State. This basis, which is the truth of suffering and how it can be ended, will be the interconnected truth and interior of all Sandum culture and expression. This is the basis of the Sandum State’s Philia Policy for this Winter: the creation of a combined, united, and liberal Sandum culture and society. Under Philia, the State will seek to create a united culture and create the underpinnings for future liberal advancement in terms of culture and society for future expansion of citizens.

In addition to all these, the State will continue with progressive planning of future Socialist economic construction under the “Neolithic” Plan, named for the historical period in which agriculture became the paramount source of food and led to the creation of civilisations. This economic plan will accompany plans for creating green and renewable energy in the future of Sandus, such as solar and wind energy.

All this shall be considered, worked on, and done in the upcoming Autumn season. Happy Equinox!

May we advance the State this Autumn in terms of culture and our own future expectations!
Let us define the view of the Sandum State’s Future and Implement it!
