Ave, Sandum Citizens!
In order to further explain what has been communicated to the St.Charlian Prime Minister, as reported in the Überstadt National News, the Office of the Sôgmô has refused recognition of Frexico, Skendal, and other hostile parties towards St.Charlie based upon Article 8 of the Founding Law which, as the Sôgmô stated last night to the Prime Minister, “stipulate that Sandus shall 1) pursue policies of peace, 2) engage in relations with other states who respect the inviolability of sovereign frontiers, and 3) promote peaceful and mutual discourse between nations.”
“As this issue violates these three preceding requirements set forth by the Founding Law and the requirements for the defence of peace, professionalism, and Realism of the Act on Foreign Affairs of Martio MMXII, I must also caution the four parties (Skendal, Frexico, Kozuc, and the St.Charlian Federal Government) to cooperate and keep the situation calm, orderly, and professional amongst statesmen.”
The Office of the Sôgmô has spoken with the Prime Minister this morning, stressing Sandus’ respect for the St.Charlian side though pressing the nature of this sector to act in this way. Renasian Chairman Tierney has warned the Office of the Sôgmô from becoming involved and, following through, the Office of the Sôgmô acknowledged this as a wholly St.Charlian issue in which no Sandum political effort shall be put forward.
Sandus has recognised the White Mountain as being the territorial entity of sovereign St.Charlie and it is acceptable and understandable for St.Charlie to request Skendallian and Frexican armed forces from leaving the area. Sandus follows in this request, recognising both states have violated the inviolability of sovereign frontiers and thus engaged an act of war. The State of Sandus, though against war, respects St.Charlian efforts to reclaim custodianship of their territory and notes the factors behind such an act of military aggression against the Federal Republic: the Federation of Kozuc, its neighbours and sector.
Bellum se ipsum alet,
— Sôgmô Sörgel.
Skendal is defending Kozuc, though.
However, the land is the sovereign territory of the Federal Republic of St.Charlie. As long as they are protecting you from Frexico and they are in sovereign territory, their presence is provocative to both sides. With their departure, then both sides could restore calm.
I agree completely with the Sandum policy in this situation of support for St. Charlie while remaining politically distanced, and have elected to follow it myself.
