April MMXII – the Month of the Birth of Revolution

Ave, Sandum Citizens!

Over this past weekend, we have celebrated some of our State’s most important events and held an other, very important event of specific importance. It was in this month in 1870 that Vladimir Lenin was born in Simbirsk, now Ulyanovsk; in 1912, Kim Il-Sung was born in this month in Mangyongdae; in 1995, the Sôgmô of this State was born in Trenton. The former is celebrated in this month on XXII Aprilo (22 April) as Revolutionaries’ Day. The latter two are celebrated on XV Aprilo (15 April) in Kremlum Sandus as the Day of the Sun. That is where this month receives its nickname: the Month of the Birth of Revolution. It is not only the birth month of two great macronational revolutionaries but also our micronational revolutionary, the Sôgmô, and also comes before May, the Month of Revolution with the Sandum Independence Day being on XXVI (26th).

The name also can receive a new meaning. Last Novembro (November), and under the law of this State, the Citizens’ Communist Party of Sandus planned a Congress for this month. Such a Congress did take place, with much success. Whereas the Novembro MMXI (November 2011) Congress formally established the Party within the State, this Congress has served to shape it within the State. The Congress, which lasted only a matter of some two hours on Saturday XIV (the 14th), set forth the election of a new Secretary of the Party, a new policy plan for the Party, and regular meetings of Party staff.

The Congress began with the election of the Party Secretary at 17:00 Sandum Local Time (GMT-5). Comrades Thomson and Sörgel stood for election. Both delegates presented their platform to the Congress. Both platforms stressed the importance of education in the State, a new form of Left Bloc and intermicronational relations with other Socialist and Communist factions, and the purpose of enacting a Party media-outlet — a project originally proposed by Comrade Thomson. The voting began, then, twenty-three minutes after the beginning of the Congress and lasted for five minutes. The vote came down to Comrade Sammut, Standing Party Member from the Socilivo state of Blesbí.
Comrade Sörgel was elected as Party Secretary of the Citizens’ Communist Party of Sandus with 66.67% of the vote. Secretary Thomson then yielded power to Comrade Secretary-elect Sörgel. Comrade Sörgel noted the similarities in both platforms, stressed the importance of Party unity and its expansion, and then Comrade Sörgel continued on to declare how he would implement the platform.

Comrade Sörgel’s Platform:

As for my platform, I believe it is importance for both our State and for the Party that the leadership of both can be united as the CCPS begins to grow. I intend on combining the Party with the State as the State turns to become a cooperative in the State, required by law. Doing so will mean that the Party can take up a dual role of education and democracy within the State that can act as an advisory cooperative to the State and, as according to the Founding Law, we can utilise it with complete ideological effectiveness of the Party. I also intend to utilise the CCPS as a guiding force for socilivo states and, hopefully, attracting and relaxing tensions with other Socialist states under the purvue of my term. I would like to work with all of my Party Comrades, and — if elected — I will seek an implementation of Comrade Thomson’s view on “The Voice of Sandus” as well as a large influence of Party Congresses to lay out a strict Party Plan for the 6 months that constitute a term in the Party now. In sum,
– Cooperativise the CCPS as a cooperative of the State.
– Make the CCPS an educational, academic and democratic institution of the State that will guide the policy of the State and Socialism within Sandus.
– Implement Party Democracy through Congresses that will outline “Six-Month Plans” for the Party.
– Work with Comrades in Sandus and outside for the establishment of a Revolutionary Front and Bloc within intermicronational politics and the creation of Comrade Thomson’s idea on “The Voice of Sandus”, which shall be his own.

Work began right away to discuss what other issues should be addressed. It was agreed upon by consensus that Party programs shall be created under a Party staff-member, who shall take part in fortnightly meetings on Fridays with the Party Secretary. The program of the Party newspaper, known so far as The Voice of Sandus, will be under the guide of Comrade Thomson. Comrade Sammut is considering a program for his involvement. The Congress was then adjourned.

Despite lasting two hours, it was declared that the clause concerning cooperativisation of the Party in the Law for the Enfranchisement of the Party shall finally be enacted, despite that Law dating from Decembro MMXI (December 2011). This Congress, too, shall set up the basic precedent for the Party and shall work for creating an active, powerful, and intellectual Party for our State. Below is the full, unedited text of the Congress.

— Sôgmô Sörgel.

[4/14/2012 5:59:09 PM] André Sammut: I believe it is time.
[4/14/2012 5:59:25 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Indeed.
[4/14/2012 5:59:59 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I am not aware of any other intentions to stand for Secretary of the CCPS, though I have nominated myself.
[4/14/2012 6:00:51 PM] André Sammut: I’ve no intention myself.
[4/14/2012 6:01:05 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I believe it is important to do this first, out of courtesy, as the Party can elect the Secretary and his platform in the future at the beginning of the Congress.
[4/14/2012 6:01:13 PM | Edited 6:01:20 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Ah, and Comrade Thomson is back.
[4/14/2012 6:01:28 PM] James Thomson: I have returned, good evening comrades.
[4/14/2012 6:01:43 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: We were just beginning.
[4/14/2012 6:01:49 PM] James Thomson: Ah, good.
[4/14/2012 6:02:04 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Are you intending to stand for election, Comrade Thomson?
[4/14/2012 6:02:07 PM] André Sammut: Good evening, Comrade.
[4/14/2012 6:02:46 PM] James Thomson: Yes, I am looking for re-election.
[4/14/2012 6:03:10 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Well, then Comrade Sammut’s vote shall be rather important, then…!
[4/14/2012 6:03:16 PM] James Thomson: Indeed, haha.
[4/14/2012 6:03:17 PM] André Sammut: Oh no..
[4/14/2012 6:03:26 PM | Edited 6:03:41 PM] James Thomson: Before the vote, shouldn’t we announce our platforms? Or goals as Secretary?
[4/14/2012 6:03:46 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Yes, we should.
[4/14/2012 6:04:03 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: You may go first, if you’d like, Comrade Thomson.
[4/14/2012 6:04:10 PM] James Thomson: Thank you.
[4/14/2012 6:08:06 PM] James Thomson: I plan on implimenting ideological training and classes, which will be held once a month to discuss and learn Marxism-Leninism and discussing issues within Sandus that can be solved by the CCPS. I am also planning on releasing a CCPS Newspaper, The Voice of Sandus. The Voice of Sandus will have publications on both micronational and macronational issues affecting the micronational socialist movement. I am also planning on starting a propoganda campaign that will hopefully cause a gain in citizenship and party membership. That is all, for the moment.
[4/14/2012 6:09:01 PM | Edited 6:09:15 PM] André Sammut: As for Comrade Soergel’s platform?
[4/14/2012 6:09:03 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I am interested by the Voice of Sandus.
[4/14/2012 6:09:19 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Of course.
[4/14/2012 6:16:02 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: As for my platform, I believe it is importance for both our State and for the Party that the leadership of both can be united as the CCPS begins to grow.

– Work with Comrades in Sandus and outside for the establishment of a Revolutionary Front and Bloc within intermicronational politics and the creation of Comrade Thomson’s idea on “The Voice of Sandus”, which shall be his own.
[4/14/2012 6:17:24 PM] André Sammut: I see.
[4/14/2012 6:20:01 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Well, I suppose we should begin to vote, unless Comrade Thomson has anything more to add or if Comrade Sammut has anything to ask.
[4/14/2012 6:20:38 PM] James Thomson: I would like to emphisize that the party will be unified, despite whatever happens. Other than that, I have nothing else to add.
[4/14/2012 6:21:05 PM] André Sammut: I’ve nothing to ask.
[4/14/2012 6:21:27 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Very united, yes.
[4/14/2012 6:21:30 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Very well.
[4/14/2012 6:21:50 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Well…
[4/14/2012 6:22:16 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I suppose by voting, we should simply state to whom our vote is.
[4/14/2012 6:22:40 PM] André Sammut: I imagine it would be quickest.
[4/14/2012 6:22:45 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Indeed. Any objections?
[4/14/2012 6:23:04 PM] André Sammut: None here.
[4/14/2012 6:23:10 PM] James Thomson: None here.
[4/14/2012 6:23:23 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: None here.
[4/14/2012 6:23:26 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: So, let us begin.
[4/14/2012 6:24:27 PM] André Sammut: Ach, since you’re both too slow.
[4/14/2012 6:25:06 PM] André Sammut: I guess I shall vote for Comrade Soergel, although I will note that both your platforms are rather good.
[4/14/2012 6:27:57 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I shall vote for Comrade Thomson.
[4/14/2012 6:28:19 PM] James Thomson: I shall be voting for Comrade Soergel.
[4/14/2012 6:28:38 PM] James Thomson: As (Former) Sec. of the CCPS, I congratulate Comrade William Soergel on his successful election. Congratulations, Comrade Soergel!
[4/14/2012 6:28:57 PM | Edited 6:29:07 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Thank you, Comrade Thomson! Thank you for your service for and to the Party!
[4/14/2012 6:29:15 PM] James Thomson: Thank you.
[4/14/2012 6:29:16 PM] André Sammut: Congratulations!
[4/14/2012 6:29:27 PM] André Sammut: Thank you, Comrade Thomson.
[4/14/2012 6:30:21 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I would like to note that Comrade Thomson’s platform and my own were very much similar, and I hope to work with Comrade Thomson in its implementation for the Party.
[4/14/2012 6:31:05 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Comrades, it is my intention to expand Party politics, activity and power during this term. I would like all of us to discuss, in public, what we think we must accomplish as a Party.
[4/14/2012 6:31:54 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: As it stands, our Party is in both Sandus and Sandus’ socilivo state of Blesbí. I hope that the Comrade Delegates to the Party during Congresses can expand either through socilivo status or civilo citizenship.
[4/14/2012 6:32:18 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: At any rate, I suggest we begin to discuss what we believe must be accomplished for the upcoming term until November 7th.
[4/14/2012 6:32:33 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Suggestions, Comrades?
[4/14/2012 6:33:13 PM] James Thomson: The development of Socialism in Sandus and the creation of other positions.
[4/14/2012 6:33:38 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Other positions, such as?
[4/14/2012 6:33:59 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Such as, members who can run certain programs for the Party?
[4/14/2012 6:34:08 PM | Edited 6:35:39 PM] André Sammut: Make the Party a more intermicronational one.
[4/14/2012 6:35:28 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I would like to see the creation of a library for essays and academic discussions in the Party, as well as meetings held by the Party either monthly or fortnightly.
[4/14/2012 6:37:41 PM] James Thomson: [Saturday, April 14, 2012 7:34 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel:

<<< Such as, members who can run certain programs for the Party?Exactly that.
[4/14/2012 6:37:44 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Creating and issuing a medal for the Party.
[4/14/2012 6:37:47 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Ah, I see.
[4/14/2012 6:38:53 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Pursuing an Intermicronational Bloc of Socialist Parties and Nations.
[4/14/2012 6:39:16 PM] André Sammut: These sound like wonderful ideas.
[4/14/2012 6:39:18 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Or, atleast, pursuing comradry between them.
[4/14/2012 6:39:44 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I have something else, that I mentioned before.
[4/14/2012 6:39:59 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: The meetings for the Party staff, I suppose?
[4/14/2012 6:40:08 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Are there any objections to them?
[4/14/2012 6:40:14 PM] André Sammut: Nope.
[4/14/2012 6:40:16 PM] James Thomson: None here.
[4/14/2012 6:40:26 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Ok, well, when are we free to do them?
[4/14/2012 6:40:39 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: We can keep them to being less frequent or more frequent, as well.
[4/14/2012 6:40:52 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Personally, I would prefer to keep them fortnightly, and on weekends.
[4/14/2012 6:40:59 PM] James Thomson: Indeed.
[4/14/2012 6:41:09 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Say, like, Friday evenings.
[4/14/2012 6:41:20 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Comrade Sammut?
[4/14/2012 6:41:25 PM] André Sammut: Those would be good for me.
[4/14/2012 6:41:35 PM] André Sammut: Friday evenings, I mean.
[4/14/2012 6:41:38 PM | Edited 6:41:46 PM] James Thomson: As would they for me.
[4/14/2012 6:42:21 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: They would be rather good for me, too.
[4/14/2012 6:42:56 PM | Edited 6:43:43 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I suppose the staff at the meeting would comprise the Secretary with the “positions” you were discussing before, Comrade Thomson, no?
[4/14/2012 6:45:49 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Comrades?
[4/14/2012 6:46:41 PM] André Sammut: I imagine.
[4/14/2012 6:46:59 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Well, would anyone, then, like to sponsor a certain program?
[4/14/2012 6:49:42 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Well, either of you can come to me over the week.
[4/14/2012 6:50:11 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I do have M. Thomson down for running the Party newspaper.
[4/14/2012 6:50:43 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I will make sure that Veritum Sandus, to show the connection between the State and the Party, will repost all work by the Party newspaper.
[4/14/2012 6:50:57 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: And, of course, cite Comrade Thomson and the newspaper.
[4/14/2012 6:50:58 PM] André Sammut: I’ll see as to what position I could take.
[4/14/2012 6:52:26 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Very well.
[4/14/2012 6:52:40 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I will write the Party Cooperative Order.
[4/14/2012 6:52:53 PM] André Sammut: Alright.
[4/14/2012 6:53:55 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: If over the next week or so you create the Party newspaper, Comrade Thomson, I believe it will be important if we set a goal of atleast one article every fortnight or week and we include all Party members to be potential writers.
[4/14/2012 6:54:25 PM] James Thomson: Okay, I suppose I could do that.
[4/14/2012 6:54:30 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Wonderful.
[4/14/2012 6:54:49 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: I suppose for tonight, then, this Congress is adjourned. All in favour, say “aye”.
[4/14/2012 6:54:50 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Aye.
[4/14/2012 6:54:55 PM] James Thomson: Aye.
[4/14/2012 6:55:30 PM] André Sammut: Aye.
[4/14/2012 6:56:12 PM] Sôgmô Will Sörgel: Congress adjourned for the evening. Feel free to talk to me in private. We may reconvene here tomorrow if all are present and willing.
