Ave, Sandum Citizens!

The traditions of the Anniversary of the Foundation of the State of Sandus were completed according to our history yesterday. The Sôgmô, in a speech to the nation, addressed the pride of being in the Sandum State era of our nation, wherein significant achievements in the people’s welfare have been fostered. The Sôgmô expressed hope for not just two more years, but twenty and two-hundred thence. Follow the Sôgmô’s inspiring and auspicious speech, the Founding Law of the State was ready with great fervour, reminding us of the philosophy, system, and framework established by the Founding Law.

The State Flag still bedecks the Palace of State. First the Foundation, tomorrow the royal occasion of the Honourable Sôgmô’s day of birth and adulthood: the traditions and customs of our nation are being built up by our own hands and experiences. Though the Honourable Sôgmô’s birthday is not a State holiday and although Sandus has rarely utilised the honourable royalty of the nation since MMXI, this royal occasion has already taught us a new tradition: just how rare and extraordinary royal occasions are in Sandus. To date, only the Honourable Sôgmô’s birthday will happen very soon (none other have passed), however one royal occasion is currently being planned for MMXIX when Sandus will celebrate one decade of existence and thereby commemorate the event with the Honourable Sôgmô’s coronation.

To celebrate both the Second Anniversary of the Foundation of the State and the royal occasion, the Office of the Sôgmô has honoured the capital district — the Province of Kremlum Sandus — with its own unique coat of arms.

Not only is our nation preparing for the royal occasion tomorrow, but we are also preparing to celebrate the Fourth Anniversary of the Creation of Sandus on XXVI Maio (26 May) with postcards and two small concerts for Revolutionaries’ Day (XX Aprilo/22 April, Vladimir Lenin’s birthday) and for Remembrance Day (IX Maio/9 May). We are preparing a very joyous Socialist song to celebrate the Spring and Summer seasons. We are also preparing for LGBT Pride Week on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of the Stonewall Revolution. With so many occasions to celebrate the work of our Nation-State of Sandus, we are constantly doing something most micronations fail to do: we are building and strengthening our culture by building and affirming traditions.
